METRAS+

funded by the Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt

Meteorological model system for the assessment of climate and air quality

Partner:
University of Hamburg, Meteorological Institute

The objective of this project is to create an inexpensive and user friendly planning tool which can be used by public authorities as well as small and medium-sized companies for handling complex tasks in the field of climate and air quality. A special focus is on the compliance with planned national quality specifications. METRAS+ will be based on the already available mesoscale atmospheric model METRAS PC. It will comprise an extended and revised version of this model, evaluation modules, and software for an easy processing of generally available input data (topography).

For all enquiries concerning METRAS PC and METRAS+, please solely contact Ms Schlünzen, Meteorological Institute, University of Hamburg.
